Less common causes are dirty or sluggish blower motor and faulty mode door actuator. 1. Clogged cabin air filter. Dirty AC filter is the leading cause of weak AC airflow in BMW 5 Series. The pollen filter, also known as the cabin air filter or microfilter, is responsible for filtering the air that the passengers breathe in the cabin.
E60 no heat **FIXED**. 2006 530i 173kmi. The car takes a very very long time to heat up and when it does, the heat is moderate to luke warm & maybe, jus maybe the heat reaches a good 80degrees sometimes.I had a water valve link code (9C79)that been coming up, so I changed the heater valve yesterday & the code ceased appearing on my purchased

I have spent some time looking for this information but have not been able to find a solution. I have a 2002 745i with about 150K miles. The A/C started acting funny several weeks ago, even though it is set on AC MAX it will blow hot air on one side and cold on the other: Passenger=HOT Driver=COLD or viceversa, depends on the cars mood. :dunno:
The air moving through the radiator is faster than the fan can move it. If it was that, it would be the opposite affect. Agreeing with @Zaid here. Most of your possibilities are not really consistent with what the OP is stating, though most AC systems have a cutoff which occurs at a certain engine speed. –
Solution = replace the AC compressor, dryer, freon, etc. Warranty (third party) only covers half of the repairs. Here's the breakdown: BMW's price - $900 covered by the warranty and $1400 my part = declined. Indy price - $700 covered by warranty and $700 my part = fixed the problem.
2001. 525i. The AC is not blowing cool air.I have added refrigerant with stop leak, in case I had a minor leak. The two vents over the radio seem to blow a lot of air, but the left one seems to be a little cooler than the right one. Hopefully, that is systematic in identifying the issue. Any help would be appreciated.
It appears in this car when that happens, all the vents get closed to cycle air through the condenser to thaw it back out. Just keep your intensity higher (or far right) or the fan higher in manual mode, and it should be fine. The usual cause is a system that lacks sufficient capacity.
448. My Cars. 93 BMW 325i, 99 BMW 528iT. It is probably the heater valve under the hood. It is a valve which opens and closes to keep the cabin at a consistent temp. The valve has 2 halves which correspond to driver and passenger side. The valve is about $100. BMWCCA Member #364761 www.bmwcca.org.
Symptoms are as follows; The system was blowing warm air at any temperature setting even thought the charge is OK. I disconnected the heater control valves and now the air blows cold. The Auxiliary Fan comes on after about 3-4 minutes with the compressor running but runs at erratic speeds at first then only runs on high. Sounds like an airplane.
Going on down to the "Evaporator Control (compressor control)" section shows this: ON:A/C button ON and evaporator temperature > 4°C (depending on the outside temperature) and coolant temperature < 117°C and terminal 30 at control unit > 9.7 Volt. See more. Reply Quote.
When started, and at idle, the a/c blows out air that is not chilled, even though my a/c settings for both sides are at 18 degrees. First we must understand how the cool air works. The cool air temperature drops from room temperature to 18 degrees Celcius slowly and not immediately.

He filled 'er up, based on low and high side pressure (not the cheapo low side gauge from the auto parts stores, a real gauge set that looks at low AND high side) and got it blowing nice and cold. Then we noticed that the fan wasn't coming on. The AC was still blowing cold, sitting in the driveway, even though the electric fan wasn't turning.
