The shifting problem usually surfaces when the vehicle is first started and the engine and transmission are cold. After I had the oil cooler seals done last spring the jeep didn't get too much use over the summer, I was mainly just commuting to town in my other car. So fall and hunting season rolls around I start driving the jeep more regularly again, and now it starts giving me the flashing red lightening bolt and a check engine light and i guess limp

I have the same jeep model, Jeep Grand Cherokee 2012 WK2, 3.0 V6 CRD 241 hp. The low pressure light comes on when idling. The oil was changed and the filter. Overall mileage of 176k, km. I have put 9.4 liters (9.93 US quarts) of oil in yet the dipstick is reading on the lower quarter between the add and fill marks. I am checking the oil after leaving the jeep in my garage overnight

Normal driving oil temps are 5-6 degrees warmer (206 normally) than the water temps on the average day.
